Demonstrating how to make camouflage with paint shop pro.

October 6th, 2007 by wildheart4vr

I went back through my plug ins that I tinkered with to try and get to work with paint shop pro and it happens that I only got three of them to work properly. All is not lost though. I got two cool plug ins from VDL Adreniline you can find the plug ins at Jumbo PSP site.

Now the one I really like that I did get to work is the camouflage plug in. In honor of our troops serving in the armed forces I thought this orange Halloween styled camouflage tile looked really interesting and I am also showing a screen shot of the settings I used to get the effect.

There are three steps you need to do first before you can use this plug in and they are as follows:

  • Open a new image your dimensions of choice
  • Go to your color picker and choose a grey or light color for your foreground
  • Flood fill your layer with the color you chose. The flood fill tool is a little paint can found in your left hand tool bar.

This is my result.

Now these are the settings I used to get the result.

You can use the tile for your own use just give my site credit and save it to your own hard drive so you don’t use my band with.

Well thank you for your honesty. It was a demonstration not a set in stone design for publication. Can you do better? I challenge you to a demonstration of your own on how to make camo.

I may not be a ‘camo connoisseur’ but I like the pattern and colors you chose - makes a nice ‘Fall’ background… (You could always use it to hide in a pile of leaves.)
