I honestly don’t remember the specific reason I created this frame other than to make sure I still knew the technique on how to make picture frames. However, it turned out to be the best frame I have done to this date.

On this piece I showed my friend Carol Deckert a practical use for using frames for online pictures.

This was completed at the same time as the first frame. I was feeling particularly inspired that day to make a few quality frames.

I am gonna do some mad hatter posting to get what I consider to be my best stuff out to you in time to go out with the old year and bring in the new. These are textures I did this year. The green cross hatch, foil, and fall leaves I did for my guest posting Texture Tuesday With Wildheart over at Scraps of Mind. The plaster looking one is one I created just for the fun of it. I was absolutely pleased with how the plaster look came out. It looks like the trowel just had a hey day with it. The fall leaves were inspired by watching swirling leaves in the parking lot. My attempt at concrete was inspired by looking at the patterns in concrete made when forming it as it dries with a trowel that has more of a serrated edge to it.

The one that took me by surprise is the button I made for my weight loss site. I have never used it maybe I should it has gotten 1,616 views. The stonewall one has also been a fairly well viewed one with almost 200 views. My friend Ben Grader over on Flickr suggested using a graffiti motif on it.

I made these in my support group last week. It was my first attempt at making anything jewelry related. I hope you can see them well enough. I tried to get rid of the pixelation as much as I could, but anyway you get the idea of what they look like.

My Try at a Joy to the World Tutorial

This was from Joy to the World a tutorial I found over at PSP Classic Paradise. The thing I found was confusing was the way she ordered the resize and copy and paste instructions. I just rearranged the order so that it made sense to me. When you get to those steps in the tutorial you will want to select the images she tells you to then resize them before you copy and paste them onto the canvas. Also you will want to paste as selection so you can move them around to where you want them on the canvas as well. I would love to see what you come up with so please go check her tutorial out, grab her supplies and get to creating. Then come back here and give me a link to your post so I can check it out.

This was an attempt at a tutorial titled Capture Your Heart. I found the materials I used from the tutorial at My PSP Tubes and Simply Sensational Scraps .

I got hung up on the template part of the tutorial and that is when I started to improvise using the materials I found at Simply Sensational. I have to say I really like the results. The background image I used I bought from My PSP Tubes. It is a layered image that allows you to use what you want from the image. Just make sure that the copyright of the artist is left in the piece if you do go over and purchase anything from them.

My PSP Tubes has a great selection of tubes at reasonable prices.

I found the tutorial over at my favorite PSP forum PSP Classic Paradise.

I highly recommend her site, as well as signing up for her newsletter so you can get free design resources delivered straight to your inbox as she makes them available. Welcome Back to Wildheart’s Work’s (dot com)

I want to take a moment and unofficialy give a pre grand re opening welcome back to Wildheart’s Work’s. Back in late October the company that I have my domain registered with had a glitch in their billing interface that somehow locked me out of my domain. I spent about two weeks trying to get it figured out and then once I got back in things still weren’t right and I had to eventually ditch the theme I had as I later found out the person who designed it no longer has a site on the net. So now after spending three or four days looking for a suitable artsy theme I found this one and I have to say I really like it. I have to rebuild my sidebars yet and still make some modifications to the header graphic, but overall the theme has a solid CSS structure and XHTML structure and I am pleased with that. I am not a tech person however, I will learn what I need to in order to make my blog functional. I will have an official grand opening very soon.

I want to thank everyone who helped me figure out what I did get figured out over the last week or so and also offering constructive critcism when and where needed. I will be back to blogging here more than over at my .net as my .com has always felt like home. I am not sure if I will keep the .net yet or not. I own it for a year guess I need to sit down and figure out what direction I want to go with it.

Still Using Paint Shop Pro Version 9

If so they are still offering updates for it. I just got a major update on December 4th. It is a mapped drive update and is 1,246 MB. I am not sure if there are other updates for the older versions but apparently Corel is still offering support to some degree for version 9. So if you want to save a few bucks go get it from Amazon.
